A Recipe From Judah

Judah has his own version of Trail Mix that I thought I'd share so others can give it a try. It's pretty tasty!

Goldfish crackers
Peanuts (or whatever kind of nuts you like)
Raisins (or dried cranberries or little toddler fruit snack bits)
Chocolate chips (in moderation) (or M&M's)

ENJOY!

Tots

Judah loves Tater Tots. He loves to dip them in ketchup. Yesterday Judah requested Tots for dinner. I told him we were having pizza so he then inquired as to whether we could have Tots in the morning. I told him, "Maybe." Well, this morning Steve and I woke up to Judah calling over and over again from his bed..."Daddy, me some Tots please!" The kid has a mind like a steel trap! :) For his tenacity, he was rewarded with a breakfast of...Tots (and some other healthier items too).

An Urban Safari

We headed "over the hill" on St. Patty's Day to get our green fix in warm, sunny and in-full-bloom Sacramento to check out the zoo. It was a perfect day in every way!

Mmmmm, Hot Chocolate!

Judah has just recently discovered hot chocolate and, suffice it to say, he likes it!

The Latest Fascination

Steve and I finally broke down and thought it would be fun to show Judah some animated kids movies. We don't have very many of them (Nemo, Shrek 1-3 & Cars) but Judah loves them. He's always asking if we can watch "Ek" or "Caws" or "Eemo." He especially loves "Ek and Onkey" from Shrek. Some friends just gave Judah some swimtrunks with Shrek and Donkey on them. Judah was so excited that he wanted to put them on over his pants! That was a sight, let me tell you!

Nicknames

The last couple of months Judah has been occasionally calling me "Teri" instead of "Mommy." The first time he did it, he said it several times before I realized he was calling me by my first name. I even had to ask Steve if that was what he thought Judah was saying. What a crack up! A lot of times I'll call Judah "Punkin" or "Punkies." The other day, Steve and Judah were going out for a bike ride. As they pulled out of the driveway, Judah called to me from his bike trailer, "Bye Punkin!" I was laughing out loud as they rode away.

Coram Deo Is Meeting On Sunday Mornings!

After more than a year of meeting in our small but free facility on Sunday evenings, our church, Coram Deo, has finally begun meeting in Double Diamond Elementary on Sunday mornings! We had our first official Sunday morning service this past Sunday and it was great. Steve and I were both back in the Kids' Church area the entire time since it was a new set-up and we wanted to make sure everything went smoothly so we didn't get to experience the actual worship service but we hear it went really well. There was a buzz and energy in the air and it just felt "official and real" for the first time for me, for some reason. Not that what we've been doing so far hasn't been amazing--it was just different. Judah and I rode our bike (Judah in the pull-buggy behind my bike) there, which was fun. The school is a 5 minute ride from our house! :) We had 105 people, including kids, which is our highest yet!! Praise God for what He is doing!
